Culture & Beauty
Encounters, itineraries and opportunities to discover Mediterranean heritage as a protagonist, not a spectator.
Philosophy Mediterranean Kulture
PhiMeK is a Third Sector Entity and an Amateur Sports Association. We turn the wisdom of the Mediterranean — balance, beauty, relationship, knowledge — into concrete projects for people, communities and places.
Explore our seven areas of work, or write to us with your idea: we respond to every proposal.

Why we exist
We live fast lives, in increasingly fragile communities, where health, culture and relationships are pursued separately — and often fall behind. The result is fragmented wellbeing, one that struggles to become habit.
We start from a different idea: the Mediterranean is not just a place, it is a method. For centuries it has taught that mind, body, table and community belong together. PhiMeK takes this lesson and translates it into concrete activities: events, pathways, workshops and gatherings built with people and for people.
A philosophy to live by
The ancients knew it: a healthy mind lives in a well-tended body, in authentic relationships, in a place that is cared for. This is not a quotation to frame: it is our working programme.
Every PhiMeK project is born by weaving together five dimensions. When they work together, wellbeing stops being an abstract goal and becomes a daily practice, within everyone's reach.
Knowledge, culture, awareness.
Movement, sport, health.
Balance, values, inner wellbeing.
Mediterranean diet, sustainability.
Community, listening, participation.
Where we work
From culture to sport, from nutrition to sustainability: each area responds to a real need of people and places, and every project brings different skills together around the same table.
Encounters, itineraries and opportunities to discover Mediterranean heritage as a protagonist, not a spectator.
Sporting activities open to all ages, to take care of yourself and come together with others.
The Mediterranean table as a teacher of health: practical meetings on food, prevention and lifestyle.
Workshops and pathways for young people, adults, schools and universities: knowledge grows when it is shared.
Projects built with associations and local organisations, so that no one is left on the margins of shared life.
Digital tools and artificial intelligence put at the service of culture and access to knowledge.
Care for the environment and the local area built into every initiative, from organisational choices to everyday actions.
On the Projects page you will find details of every area, how we work, and the collaborations that are possible.

Our model
Shared resources give rise to concrete activities and support.
The mechanism is simple and transparent: organisations, businesses and local bodies pool resources and skills; PhiMeK turns them into projects, events and open activities; what these generate — participation, relationships, resources — returns to support the community from which it all began. A self-sustaining circle, which is why it lasts.
Who we work for
If you want to take part in an event, follow a wellbeing pathway, give your time, or simply meet us in person: our activities are open and designed to welcome. You can take part, join the association or propose an initiative for your area.
If you represent an institution, a school, a university, an association or a business attentive to social value: we build shared projects with clear objectives and readable outcomes for the local area. From training to sport, from culture to sustainability.

Rome EUR · Quadrato della Concordia
Saturday 19 September. A race open to the whole city, where sport becomes an occasion for encounter, participation and solidarity. Because wellbeing, like a race, is won one step at a time — and it is lighter together.
Verifiable identity
Being registered with the RUNTS means having precise duties: transparency, civic and solidarity-based purposes, public reporting. For those who work with us it is a concrete guarantee: every project rests on a verifiable identity, not on promises.
Let's talk
Write us a few lines: tell us who you are and what you'd like to build. We reply in person, and together we work out how to turn it into something concrete.
